Akasa Unveils Fermi CM5 Fanless Case for Pi CM5

The 0.8-liter aluminum enclosure offers passive cooling for Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 systems and launches in Europe this November.

Akasa has announced the Fermi CM5, a fanless enclosure designed for Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 systems paired with the official I/O board. The 0.8-liter chassis is made of black anodized aluminum and measures 185 x 93 x 43.6mm in a 1U-style form factor.

The enclosure supports up to 10W TDP, using thermal pads to transfer heat from the SOM and M.2 NVMe SSD to external fins for natural convection. It features dual HDMI 2.0, USB 3.0, Ethernet, and GPIO access, plus four antenna points and a Kensington lock.

Priced from £91.80 or €95, the Fermi CM5 arrives in in mid-November 2026. It includes a wall-mount bracket and supports 10-inch racks. Note that it is not a complete computer; users must supply the CM5 and compatible I/O board separately for use.
