> A Reddit user reported receiving Intel Core i3 chips twice after ordering the new AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D processor directly from Amazon.

A [Reddit](<https://hardwarebrief.com/entity/reddit-q1136>) user, u/BitProfessional3792, reported receiving incorrect hardware after ordering an **AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D** from [Amazon](<https://hardwarebrief.com/entity/amazon-company-q3884>). Despite purchasing the CPU and an **MSI MAG X870E Carbon** motherboard directly from Amazon, the user received an **Intel Core i3** chip.

The customer attempted a second order for same-day delivery, but the replacement box also contained an Intel Core i3 3000 series processor. Both shipments arrived in torn packaging featuring LPN stickers, which Amazon uses to track inventory in its network.

This incident highlights potential vulnerabilities in Amazon's fulfillment process for high-end PC components. The retailer is currently processing a refund for the user, who documented the repeated shipping errors involving the new Ryzen 7 processor.
