# AMD Revenue Hits Record $13.4B on AI Chip Surge

November 6, 2026 at 01:47 PM

> AMD reports 45% revenue growth driven by data center demand for AI chips, despite significant declines in its gaming and console segments.

**AMD** reported record quarterly revenue of $13.4 billion, marking a 45% year-over-year increase. The surge was led by the data center division, which generated $8.5 billion as revenue nearly doubled. This growth was driven by **EPYC** processors and **Instinct AI** chips.

While data centers now account for nearly two-thirds of total revenue, other segments struggled. Gaming revenue plummeted 40% to $773 million due to lower **Radeon** and console chip sales. Client revenue rose 7% annually to $2.9 billion but fell 4% sequentially.

CEO **Lisa Su** expects data center revenue to rise 50% next quarter, while gaming and client sales may drop over 20%. AMD is also bracing for a double-digit decline in global PC shipments by 2027 as the client segment's share of total revenue continues to shrink.
