# AMD Updates HIPRT for Zen 6 Medusa APUs

**AMD** has updated its **HIPRT** ray-tracing library to support integrated graphics for the upcoming **Medusa** APU family. The update includes new architecture identifiers gfx1170, gfx1171, and gfx115E, which are linked to the next-generation Zen 6 chip lineup.

The gfx117x identifiers are not present in current products, while gfx115E belongs to the **RDNA 3.5** family used in Strix Point. These developments follow the GFX11 debut with Navi 31, the RDNA 3 architecture powering the high-end Radeon RX 7900 XTX GPU.

This update is critical for professional software like Blender and Maxon Redshift that utilize HIPRT. It aligns with reports that AMD will utilize RDNA 3.5 for integrated graphics through 2027, ensuring long-term compatibility for compute applications.
