has expanded its lineup by introducing a new 512GB memory configuration powered by the M5 Ultra chip. This high-end workstation features 36 CPU cores and 80 GPU cores. The base model with a 1TB is currently priced starting at $24,618.
The 512GB option is exclusive to the M5 Ultra variant, doubling the previous 256GB limit. Upgrading from 256GB to 512GB costs $12,393, while a fully specced unit with a 16TB SSD reaches $32,701. Delivery is estimated for late January 2027, a 12-week wait.
This release marks the return of the 512GB memory tier, which Apple briefly offered for the M3 Ultra before removing it in March. The massive memory capacity targets extreme professional workflows, with two base units costing $49,236 before storage upgrades.
