# Asus Patches Critical Router Security Flaws

**Asus** has released a critical firmware update for several router models to patch three security vulnerabilities that could grant attackers administrative access without a password. These flaws carry **CVSS** 4.0 severity scores reaching as high as 8.7 out of 10.

The update addresses **CVE-2026-75775**, **CVE-2026-75779**, and **CVE-2026-93489**, which affect the 3.0.0.6_102 firmware series. While some exploits require user interaction, others allow unauthenticated attackers on adjacent networks to bypass security under specific conditions.

To secure devices, Asus recommends installing the update and rebooting immediately. Users unable to update should disable remote WAN access and ensure all passwords are at least 10 characters long to mitigate risks from these high-severity vulnerabilities.
