> A Reddit user reported that their ASUS TUF VG258QM gaming monitor remained functional after stopping a bullet that entered their home.

A **Reddit** user known as /u/antisocialnae reported that their **ASUS** **TUF VG258QM** gaming monitor successfully blocked a bullet that entered their home. The incident occurred while the user was playing **Call of Duty**. The projectile passed through a wall before hitting the $280 display, which remarkably remains functional despite the damaged LCD.

The TUF, or The Ultimate Force, lineup is known for durability. ASUS subjects these products to U.S. Department of Defense **MIL-STD-810H** testing protocols, covering shock, drops, and vibration. While the brand has earned Tom's Hardware Editor's Choice awards for quality, ASUS clarified that they do not officially test for bullet ingress.

ASUS has responded to the viral Reddit post with a promise to investigate the situation. The user, who owns two other ASUS monitors, highlighted the plastic construction of the 280Hz screen. This rare event underscores the build quality of hardware designed to withstand extreme conditions, even those beyond standard military specifications.
