Cooler Master has officially extended the North American warranty for its GPU Shield Adapter from one year to three years. The device, which recently launched in the United States for $49.99, now matches the three-year coverage period offered in China.
The adapter sits between the PSU cable and a GPU's 12V-2x6 connector to monitor pin current. It features an active protection system that provides LED and audible warnings for abnormalities, potentially reducing power consumption during electrical issues.
While the Chinese launch included compensation for melted connectors, the North American warranty lacks this specific mention. Cooler Master confirmed the update to VideoCardz and will reflect the new terms across retail listings in the coming weeks.
