Foxconn-branded LGA 1954 socket components have surfaced for sale on AliExpress, priced at $16.07. Listed as an LGA 1954 CPU Socket Holder with Tin Balls, the hardware confirms Intel's transition away from the LGA 1851 platform used by current Arrow Lake-S CPUs.
Intel's Design-In Tools website recently listed an ILM Kit for the LGA 1954 NVL-S Interposer, signaling compatibility with Nova Lake-S processors. The platform will feature Z970, B960, Q970, and W980 chipsets for consumer and workstation motherboard segments.
Nova Lake is slated for mass production in Q4 2026 with a launch in early 2027. The LGA 1954 socket, which may include a two-lever loading mechanism on high-end boards, is also intended to support the subsequent Razor Lake processor family in the future.
