HP has officially announced the OmniBook 5, a new laptop starting at $699.99. Powered by Intel Wildcat Lake chips, the device features a 1920 x 1200 OLED touchscreen and is available in peony pink, starlit blue, smoke silver, and soft honeydew color options.
The base model includes an Intel Core 5 320 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. HP will expand options in November with 12GB RAM and 1TB storage configurations, followed by a 620-nit 2560 x 1600 OLED touchscreen display upgrade arriving next March.
Weighing just 2.56 pounds, the OmniBook 5 is lighter than the Dell 14S and Acer Swift Air 14. It offers up to 42 hours of battery life during local video playback, positioning it as a highly portable competitor to the 13-inch MacBook Neo and Dell XPS 13.
