# Intel Begins Tooling at New Arizona Fab 62

**Intel** announced on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, that it has begun installing production tools at **Fab 62** in **Arizona**. This facility marks the sixth high-volume semiconductor fab at the **Ocotillo campus**, with operations expected to commence before the end of 2028.

While Fab 52 is designated for Intel 18A, the company has not yet assigned the Intel 14A node to Fab 62 or disclosed its wafer capacity. Meanwhile, Intel integrated High-NA EUV lithography into high-volume manufacturing for its upcoming **Panther Lake** chips.

Intel's U.S. expansion includes a new photomask facility in California and progress at the Ohio One complex. With over 4,500 domestic suppliers and $29 billion in annual U.S. spending, these sites bolster advanced logic and packaging technology production.
