A new leak from @laurentschoice has revealed seven upcoming Intel Nova Lake-S desktop processors using a Core Ultra 4000 naming convention. The flagship Core Ultra 9 4970K BFC leads the lineup, featuring 28 total cores and a 125W rating for enthusiasts.
The leak highlights the introduction of big last-level cache (bLLC) on select models like the 4970K BFC and 4870K BFC. While a previous CPU-Z leak suggested the 4950K had 28 cores, this new data lists it as a 24-core chip without LPE cores or bLLC support.
Intel's bLLC technology aims to compete with AMD's 3D V-Cache, with the top 28-core chip reportedly reaching 296W at PL2. While Intel has not confirmed these names, qualification samples are appearing in HWiNFO ahead of a projected Q1 2027 launch window.
