> Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan confirms Nova Lake desktop processors will be the first client products to utilize the high-performance 18A-P node.

**Intel** CEO **Lip-Bu Tan** confirmed that **Nova Lake** desktop processors will utilize the Intel **18A-P** node, marking the first client product to use this technology. The company expects Nova Lake design wins to double those of **Panther Lake** at the time of launch.

The 18A-P node entered risk production in June, offering a 9% speed boost at iso-power and an 18% power reduction at iso-speed over the standard 18A node. While Nova Lake leads client chips, Xeon 7 Diamond Rapids will be the first server product on 18A-P.

Intel faces market headwinds, forecasting a 20% client business decline next quarter and shrinking PC markets through 2027. To adapt, Intel is shifting 18A capacity in Oregon to Intel 3 data center wafers, impacting original Panther Lake production plans.
