Microsoft unveiled updated 13-inch Surface Laptop and 12-inch Surface Pro models at Qualcomm's Snapdragon Summit. Both devices feature the new Snapdragon X2 Plus processor with an 80 TOPS NPU and launch October 13 in a new black color with 25% brighter screens.
The Surface Laptop starts at $1,199, while the Surface Pro begins at $1,149, reflecting price hikes over previous generations. These systems offer 17% faster Office performance, 60% faster graphics, and 95% faster AI inferencing compared to prior Snapdragon chips.
Enterprise Surface Pro users gain optional 5G, while all users get the new Ink Canvas app. Microsoft also debuted a $79.99 ambidextrous Surface Mouse with haptic feedback and Bluetooth 6.0, competing with Logitech's MX Master 4 in the haptic peripheral market.
