[Microsoft](<https://hardwarebrief.com/entity/microsoft-q2283>) will officially launch the **Surface Laptop Ultra** at a dedicated event on October 7, following its initial showcase at [Computex 2026](<https://hardwarebrief.com/entity/computex-q1122733>). Pre-orders open the same day, with initial shipments expected to commence for customers by mid-October this year.

The device features a 15-inch Mini LED display reaching 2,000 nits peak HDR brightness and a haptic trackpad 30% larger than the Surface Laptop 8. Internal options include the 18-core **Nvidia RTX Spark S2** or the 20-core S3, with RAM ranging from 24GB to 128GB.

Pricing is expected to start above $2,000 for the base S2 model, with high-end configurations potentially exceeding $7,000. The October 7 event is also anticipated to serve as the debut for the **Surface RTX Spark Dev Box**, expanding Microsoft's pro hardware.
