# Montage Technology Mass Produces Gen 5 DDR5 RCD

[Montage Technology](<https://hardwarebrief.com/entity/montage-technology-q106222118>) announced the mass production of its Gen 5 DDR5 Register Clock Driver (**RCD05**) on September 28, 2026. Designed for high-performance [RDIMM](<https://hardwarebrief.com/entity/registered-memory-q449328>) modules, the RCD05 is fully compliant with the [JEDEC](<https://hardwarebrief.com/entity/jedec-q1073508>) DDR5RCD05 specification for server environments.

The RCD05 supports data rates up to 8000 MT/s, marking an 11% speed increase over the previous RCD04 generation. It integrates a low-jitter PLL clock driver circuit and supports advanced features like continuous-time linear equalization and ZQ calibration.

President **Stephen Tai** noted the RCD05 expands Montage's DDR5 portfolio, which includes MRCD, MDB, and PMIC solutions. This launch provides critical memory interface and module companion chips necessary for scaling next-generation data center performance.
