Nvidia DLSS 5 Demo Runs in Web Browser via WebGPU

A new interactive demo brings Nvidia DLSS 5 to web browsers using WebGPU, potentially enabling support for MacOS and custom 3D models.

Developer @maanalaolaqy has showcased an interactive demo of Nvidia's DLSS 5 running within a web browser via the WebGPU standard. The project allows users to upload custom 3D models to test the upscaling technology directly through a web-based interface.

While Nvidia officially supports DLSS through its NGX interface and Streamline SDK for DirectX and Vulkan, WebGPU is not currently listed as a supported API. This implementation bypasses traditional native requirements, with source code coming to GitHub.

This breakthrough theoretically enables DLSS 5 support on MacOS, expanding the reach of the technology beyond Windows. Originally announced for RTX 5000 and RTX 4000 series cards, this browser-based approach marks a significant shift for AI-driven scaling.
