# NVIDIA RTX 50 Series Prices Surge in Japan

**NVIDIA** RTX 50 series GPU prices have surged in **Japan**, as seen in retail listings photographed at a Tokyo store. The **RTX 5060 Ti** 8 GB is listed for $749, while the 16 GB model reaches $1,292. Meanwhile, the **RTX 5080** has now exceeded the $2,000 price threshold.

Current retail data shows the RTX 5060 Ti 8 GB retailing at 118,800 Yen, up from its 75,000 Yen launch. The **RTX 5070** is priced between $914 and $1,253. Notably, the flagship RTX 5090 has been discontinued, leaving the RTX 5080 as the top available model.

The price hikes are significant compared to launch MSRPs. While the RTX 5080 debuted at $999, it now sells for $1,864 to $2,444 in Japan. This trend extends globally, as the RTX 5080 currently sells for over $1,500 in most regions outside of the Japanese market.
