> NVIDIA releases RTXPT 1.9.0 on GitHub, delivering a 20% performance increase and adding support for Windows on ARM64 and CMake 4.1.

**NVIDIA** has released version 1.9.0 of **RTX Path Tracing** (RTXPT) on **GitHub**, introducing significant performance gains for the open-source reference path tracer. The company claims this update delivers roughly 20% better performance compared to version 1.8.1.

The update adds **Windows on ARM64** support and moves TLAS instance generation to the GPU on **DirectX 12**. Developers can now utilize NEE-AT light sampling for up to 2 million lights, while the SHaRC radiance cache is now enabled by default in real-time mode.

This release serves as a vital code sample for developers, offering new flexibility to trace three quarters, half, or a quarter of pixels per frame. To implement these latest optimizations and scaling features, RTXPT version 1.9.0 now requires CMake 4.1.
