NVIDIA has introduced its RTX Spark platform, bringing native CUDA support to the Microsoft Surface Laptop Ultra. This thin Windows notebook features a hardware stack combining an Arm-based CPU with a Blackwell-derived RTX GPU for high-end mobile performance.
The platform utilizes a unified-memory architecture where the CPU and GPU share a single pool, supporting up to 128GB of capacity. According to the Microsoft Windows Experience Blog, the system runs x86 and x64 software via integrated Windows translation tools.
Designed for compact desktops and thin laptops, RTX Spark delivers up to 1 petaflop of AI compute. The GPU operates within a mobile thermal envelope using specialized laptop firmware to manage power, marking a major shift for professional portable computing.
