> OpenAI's new dot personal AI agent utilizes 9-core AMD EPYC virtual machines and GPT-6 Astra to manage complex tasks across cloud apps.

**OpenAI**'s new personal AI agent, **dot**, operates within dedicated Linux-based virtual machines hosted on 80-core **AMD EPYC 9V74** Zen 4 server CPUs. Recent Geekbench 7 listings reveal these 9-core instances run on Ubuntu 24.04.3 or Debian, featuring 32 GB of storage.

Powered by **GPT-6 Astra**, dot includes over 4,000 plugins and connects to apps like Slack and Teams. Each VM provides 9.73 GB of memory, a Chromium browser, and a terminal. Benchmarks show a single-core score of 1667 and a multi-core performance score of 9435.

Head of Core Products **Thibault Sottiaux** oversees the platform, which offers higher compute than Meta Muse. While Muse uses two vCPUs on AMD Turin servers, OpenAI’s dot VM provides a robust environment for its agent to manage complex tasks across cloud tools.
