Vince Lucido, the legendary overclocker known as KINGPIN, has launched a new YouTube channel titled Overclocking Kingpin. The move follows his departure from EVGA after the company ended its NVIDIA partnership and stopped making graphics cards in late 2022.
Lucido is now working with ASUS after a potential collaboration with PNY failed to produce a card. Notably, he has skipped the RTX 50 generation. His final EVGA project, the RTX 3090 Ti KINGPIN, launched for $2,500 bundled with a 1600W power supply unit.
The flagship RTX 3090 Ti KINGPIN featured dual 16-pin connectors, a design choice Lucido fought for despite NVIDIA's preference for a single 12VHPWR port. This release marked the end of an era for CEO Andrew Han's firm and Lucido's iconic hardware series.
