Samsung has discounted its 9100 Pro SSD lineup for the Amazon Prime Big Deal Days sale. The 1TB model is now $206, down from a $339 list price. Other sale prices include $349 for 2TB, $750 for 4TB, and $2,280 for the 8TB capacity, all exceeding launch prices.
The PCIe 5.0 M.2 2280 drive features 236-layer V8 NAND and a 5nm Presto controller. Performance peaks at 14,800 MB/s sequential reads and 13,400 MB/s writes for the 8TB model. It offers up to 4,800 TBW endurance and 2,600K IOPS random write speeds for users.
Announced in early 2025, the 9100 Pro is 49% more power efficient than the 990 Pro. While this consumer drive leads the market, Samsung is also mass producing enterprise PM1763 PCIe 6.0 SSDs, which reach 28.4 GB/s read speeds and capacities up to 16TB.
