Sonnet Launches Solo10G T5 Thunderbolt 5 Adapter

Sonnet's new bus-powered adapter brings 10GbE connectivity to Mac, Windows, and Linux systems via Thunderbolt 5 and USB4 technology.

Sonnet has launched the Solo10G T5, a Thunderbolt 5 adapter providing 10 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity via a single RJ45 port. The bus-powered device supports Thunderbolt 5, Thunderbolt 4, USB4, and Thunderbolt 3 systems across Mac, Windows, and Linux platforms.

The adapter delivers 10 GbE speeds over Cat 6 cables up to 55 meters or Cat 6A up to 100 meters. It features a fanless aluminum enclosure, a replaceable 0.3-meter cable, and supports 2.5 Gbps or 5 Gbps connections when used with compatible multi-gigabit hardware.

Priced at $199.99, the Solo10G T5 includes hardware-based firmware authentication and AVB support for Mac. The 260g unit comes with a two-year warranty and lifetime support, following the release of Thunderbolt 5 docking stations earlier this April.
