Akasa has unveiled the Newton N16, a new passive cooling enclosure designed specifically for ASUS NUC 16 Pro mini PCs. Reported by IT Home on September 18, 2026, following a UK announcement, this aluminum chassis eliminates the need for active cooling fans.
The 2.1-liter case measures 188.6 x 204 x 53.6mm and dissipates heat via a finned external module for CPUs up to 28W TDP. It features a dedicated internal M.2 SSD heatsink and front I/O with one 10Gbps USB-C port and two 10Gbps USB-A ports for high-speed data.
Rear connectivity includes dual USB-C, dual USB-A, two RJ-45, and one COM port, with configurable HDMI or DisplayPort openings. While technical specifications are detailed, Akasa has not yet confirmed the pricing or regional availability for the Newton N16.
