AMD RDNA 5 Leaks Reveal 48GB VRAM and 2027 Launch

AMD's next-gen RDNA 5 architecture reportedly targets 3.4 GHz clock speeds and a 48GB flagship model, with a release delayed until 2027.

is developing its next-generation 5 graphics architecture, with new leaks from Kepler_L2 on the Anandtech forum detailing ambitious targets. The lineup reportedly features a flagship RX 10800 XT model equipped with 48 GiB of video memory.

The RDNA 5 architecture will introduce revised execution units and pipeline adjustments to boost IPC performance. Engineering targets suggest clock speeds between 3.1 and 3.4 GHz, with the highest frequencies expected to appear in smaller entry-level GPUs.

Market turbulence may force memory configuration redesigns, contributing to a reported one-year delay in the RDNA 5 roadmap. Consequently, these next-generation Radeon cards are now not expected to reach the consumer market until mid-2027 or late 2027.
