DRAM and NAND Flash Prices to Surge in Q4 2026

TrendForce predicts memory contract prices will rise up to 20% this quarter as AI infrastructure demand fuels a global supply shortage.

TrendForce released a memory-market forecast on September 30, 2026, predicting a significant rise in contract prices for DRAM and NAND flash during the fourth quarter. Conventional DRAM prices are projected to increase by 10% to 15% quarter over quarter.

The broader DRAM market, including HBM, is estimated to climb 15% to 20% as cloud providers expand AI infrastructure. NAND flash prices are also forecast to rise 15% to 20%, driven by hyperscale demand for enterprise SSDs used in AI and cloud services.

Suppliers are prioritizing HBM and server products, which TrendForce expects will reduce PC memory capacity in 2027. While client SSD pricing remains flexible, module makers are cautious about NAND wafers as eMMC and UFS demand remains relatively restrained.
