CEO met with approximately 50 senior executives at the Resources Development Center in Yongin, , on Saturday, October 30. During the visit, Altman presented a Codex Micro Keyboard to the head of Samsung’s AI Center.

The meeting follows an October 2025 letter of intent to cooperate on global AI infrastructure. Samsung will supply memory semiconductors for OpenAI’s Stargate project. Samsung and currently control about 83% of the high-bandwidth memory market.

This partnership is critical as DRAM revenue is forecast to hit $416 billion in 2026. With supply expected to fall short of demand through 2026 and shortages potentially lasting until 2028, securing HBM resources remains a top priority for AI developers.
