Framework has confirmed that pre-orders for the new 192 GB Gorgon Halo-based Framework Desktop will open on the morning of September 30, Pacific Time. The system is powered by the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 CPU, featuring 16 cores and a 5.2 GHz boost clock.
The desktop includes 192 GB of LPDDR5X unified memory with 273 GB/s bandwidth, allowing up to 160 GB for the Radeon 8065S GPU. It delivers 131 TOPS of combined AI compute, features an open-ended PCIe x4 slot, and ships with a pre-installed Noctua cooling fan.
This high-performance model surpasses the previous 128 GB version by offering significantly more memory for AI and graphics tasks. Framework will offer pre-built Fedora units, while officially supporting Windows and various other Linux distributions for users.
