YouTube channel RandomGamingHD recently compared the AMD Ryzen 5 5500F and Ryzen 5 5500, two six-core AM4 processors with 65W TDPs. The 5500F utilizes Vermeer silicon and supports PCIe 4.0, while the 5500 uses the Cezanne chip and is limited to PCIe 3.0 speeds.
Testing with a Radeon RX 9060 XT showed the 5500F leading in Battlefield 6 with 106.9 FPS versus 92.1 FPS. It also outperformed the 5500 in Counter-Strike 2 and Cyberpunk 2077. Both chips feature 16 MiB of L3 cache and include a Wraith Stealth cooling solution.
As of September 15, 2026, the Ryzen 5 5500F is priced at 99.90 Euro, offering a 4.4 GHz boost clock. The Ryzen 5 5500 costs 79.89 Euro with a 4.2 GHz boost. Neither CPU includes integrated graphics, maintaining the longevity of the 2017-era desktop AM4 platform.
