unveiled its Helion CPU rack at OCP 2026, featuring processors built on the architecture. Designed to follow guidelines, the system integrates with the Helios rackscale architecture and supports up to 32,768 Zen-6 cores.
The rack comes in Hyperscale and Enterprise configurations. The Hyperscale model uses Epyc 9006 CPUs with 256 cores at 400W or 600W TDP. The Enterprise version supports Venice and Venice-X processors, 96-core CPUs, and accelerators for inference.
This launch marks a significant expansion of AMD's data center portfolio, with partner systems arriving in November. Future roadmaps include the Verano CPU in 2027 with LPDDRX support, while Helios systems will utilize high-end Instinct MI455X accelerators.
