AMD Prepares Sixth-Gen Venice CPUs for Q4 Launch

AMD's Zen 6 Venice server CPUs on TSMC's 2nm node are set for a Q4 2026 release, with 2027 volumes already reported as sold out.

AMD is preparing its sixth-generation Venice server CPUs, built on TSMC's 2nm node and Zen 6 architecture. The lineup includes the SP7 variant launching in Q4 2026, followed by SP8 and Venice-X in 2027. The SP7 offers up to 256 Zen 6c cores and 1.6 TB/s bandwidth.

The Venice-X SKU features up to 96 cores, 5.15 GHz clock speeds, and 1,152 MB of L3 cache, while the Verano variant utilizes LPDDR5X-based SOCAMM2. Morgan Stanley projects shipments of 1.25 million units in 2026, scaling significantly to 6.75 million units by 2027.

Market demand is surging as AMD has reportedly sold out all 2027 volumes and is now booking for 2028. With PCIe Gen6 support and high-speed xGMI connectivity, these chips represent a major leap in data center performance and long-term infrastructure planning.
