Montage Technology announced the mass production of its Gen 5 DDR5 Register Clock Driver (RCD05) on September 28, 2026. Designed for high-performance RDIMM modules, the RCD05 is fully compliant with the JEDEC DDR5RCD05 specification for server environments.
The RCD05 supports data rates up to 8000 MT/s, marking an 11% speed increase over the previous RCD04 generation. It integrates a low-jitter PLL clock driver circuit and supports advanced features like continuous-time linear equalization and ZQ calibration.
President Stephen Tai noted the RCD05 expands Montage's DDR5 portfolio, which includes MRCD, MDB, and PMIC solutions. This launch provides critical memory interface and module companion chips necessary for scaling next-generation data center performance.
