Creator Josh Cowell has integrated a Noctua NF-A4x10 PWM fan into the CAIM1, or Counter Artificial Intelligence Machine 1. The 40x40x10mm fan required a redesign of the main circuit board to cool the internal processors and image sensor within its shell.
The CAIM1 prototype captures 4K video at 60 FPS while generating cryptographic proofs directly on the device. This system utilizes hardware attestation and edge computing to send verified data to immutable, decentralized storage for secure authentication.
Currently in the prototype stage, the CAIM1 is scheduled for a Q1 2027 release. The device will be showcased during Ethereum Tokyo Week 2026 and Pragma Tokyo 2026, highlighting its role in providing verifiable media in an era of AI-generated content.
