Austrian cooling specialist Noctua and Forced Physics DCT announced a long-term research partnership on September 24, 2026. The collaboration aims to adapt Forced Physics' patented JouleForce micro-channel array technology for use in desktop PCs and workstations.
JouleForce uses geometry-driven molecular collisions to extract heat along micro-channels without liquid loops. Current implementations require industrial blowers, as the technology creates pressure drops far exceeding the capabilities of standard axial PC fans.
Noctua CEO Roland Mossig and Forced Physics CEO Scott Davis are investigating how to meet these static pressure requirements within desktop acoustic constraints. The R&D effort is not currently tied to a specific product release or a confirmed launch date.
