Intel Cancels 12-Xe-Core Nova Lake Desktop CPU

Intel has reportedly scrapped plans for a Nova Lake desktop processor with 12 Xe cores, potentially deferring the design to Razor Lake.

Intel has reportedly canceled plans to release a Nova Lake-generation desktop processor featuring 12 Xe cores. According to hardware source Jaykihn and a report from ITHome, this specific design, derived from a mobile Nova Lake-H die, is no longer moving forward.

The 12-Xe-core desktop configuration has reportedly been deferred or repurposed for the future Razor Lake-S generation. Notably, the report suggests that conventional Razor Lake-U and Razor Lake-H mobile families may not exist in Intel's upcoming product lineup.

Intel has not published official product plans or die configurations for these designs. No specific model names, clock speeds, or power targets were provided, and it remains unconfirmed if engineering samples of the 12-Xe design were ever produced by the firm.
