HP has launched the OmniBook 3 17, a new 17-inch laptop powered by Wildcat Lake processors. Starting at $999, the base model features a 6-core Core 5 315 CPU with a 4.6 GHz boost clock, 8 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM, 256 GB of storage, and a 41 Wh battery.
Users can upgrade to the Core 5 320 or Core 7 350, all featuring 6 cores and 6 threads. Options include up to 32 GB of single-channel RAM, 1 TB of PCIe Gen 4 storage, and a 68 Wh battery. Display choices range from a 900p TN panel to a 300-nit 1080p IPS panel.
This release provides an Intel-based alternative to AMD Ryzen variants. While the OmniBook 5 16 uses 1.8 nm architecture, the OmniBook 3 17 focuses on versatility with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0 support. A fully configured Mica Silver model reaches $2,029.
