Intel Developing Ultra-Low-Power Moon Lake Chips

Leaked reports suggest Intel is building a Moon Lake processor family featuring four LPE cores and a low TDP for mobile efficiency.

Leaker Jaykihn reports is developing a new processor family codenamed Moon Lake. Rumors suggest these chips will feature four LPE cores while omitting P-cores entirely. Operating at a TDP between 6W and 15W, the series has not been officially announced.

Readers should note Moon Lake cores reportedly utilize Intel’s Darkmont architecture, also found in Panther Lake and Wildcat Lake. While Wildcat Lake serves low-cost laptops with a 10W to 25W range, Moon Lake targets even lower power envelopes for efficiency.

The release date remains unconfirmed, though a roadmap suggests a 2028 launch. Intel has not verified the manufacturing process or architectural details. This leak highlights Intel's potential strategy for ultra-low-power mobile computing segments.
