Intel Releases PresentMon 2.6.0 with CPU Boost

Intel's latest PresentMon update slashes CPU usage by 78% while adding multi-GPU telemetry and new DirectX 12 performance metrics.

Intel has released PresentMon version 2.6.0, a significant update to its free, open-source performance analysis tool. The latest version achieves a massive 78% reduction in CPU usage by optimizing ETW flushing and background operation timing for efficiency.

This update introduces a Game Experience overlay preset focused on motion and animation quality. Users can now monitor multi-GPU telemetry simultaneously and access new DirectX 12 Pipeline State Object metrics, including compilation counts and durations.

Enhanced reporting now includes Windows DDI flip events and additional display metadata. The interface also improves transparency by displaying unavailable metrics alongside explanations, ensuring developers and gamers have precise system performance data.
