KyTyPS5 Emulator Runs Demon's Souls at 60 FPS

The KyTyPS5 emulator achieves a 60 FPS milestone in Demon's Souls Remake using a custom fork on high-end PC hardware.

The KyTyPS5 emulator has achieved a major performance milestone, running at over 60 FPS. Demonstrated by YouTube channel Geralt Benchmarks, the feat utilized developer chenxiao07's custom v20261017 fork on a high-end PC gaming system.

The test system featured an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070. While the emulator supports DLSS Frame Generation and DLAA at 1080p, it lacks DLSS Super Resolution support. The current software version is capped at a maximum resolution of 1440p.

This progress follows a 30 FPS milestone reached in September 2026. Despite the high frame rates, users should expect frequent stuttering and frame pacing issues. The project remains a significant step forward for the Sony PlayStation 5 emulation community.
