Hardware leaker Kopite7Kimi reports on X that Nvidia's next-generation RTX 60 series GPUs, based on the Rubin architecture, may not launch until 2028. This update follows a previous claim that the consumer graphics cards could arrive as early as late 2027.
The upcoming Rubin-based lineup, including the GR20x product, is expected to utilize TSMC's 3N or 3NP process nodes. This marks a shift from the Ada Lovelace and Blackwell architectures, which both share the TSMC 4N node for current RTX 40 and 50 series.
While Nvidia expects $20 billion from Vera Rubin in Q3 2027, the consumer release remains unconfirmed. A spokesperson stated the company does not comment on rumors. Meanwhile, the RTX 5090 has appeared online at prices exceeding $9,000 in some markets.
