Amazon Cancels High-End AI Hardware Orders

Amazon cancels enterprise GPU orders from Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney and other users, leading to account closures and supply friction.

has canceled multiple high-end hardware orders, including four DGX Spark units purchased by an X user with the handle @nicksaraev on October 31. Following a verification process, Amazon took the additional step of closing the @nicksaraev account entirely.

CEO also reported issues, noting Amazon canceled his order for two GPUs. While Sweeney's account remains active, he stated that the retailer accepted his regular orders initially but canceled them shortly before the scheduled delivery.

These cancellations highlight ongoing friction in the procurement of enterprise-grade AI hardware through consumer channels. The discrepancy in account actions suggests Amazon is applying varying levels of scrutiny during its order verification procedures.
