reported record quarterly revenue of $13.4 billion, marking a 45% year-over-year increase. The surge was led by the data center division, which generated $8.5 billion as revenue nearly doubled. This growth was driven by processors and chips.
While data centers now account for nearly two-thirds of total revenue, other segments struggled. Gaming revenue plummeted 40% to $773 million due to lower and console chip sales. Client revenue rose 7% annually to $2.9 billion but fell 4% sequentially.
CEO expects data center revenue to rise 50% next quarter, while gaming and client sales may drop over 20%. AMD is also bracing for a double-digit decline in global PC shipments by 2027 as the client segment's share of total revenue continues to shrink.
