has launched the ROG Xbox Ally X20, a premium handheld priced over $1,000, representing a $300 increase over the Ally X. The new model features an HDR 1400-certified screen with 1,400 nits peak brightness, TMR thumbsticks, and MicroSD Express support.
The X20 retains the same chip, memory, and battery size as the standard X model but introduces impulse triggers and an adjustable D-pad. Testing shows the device runs up to 17 degrees Celsius cooler, staying under 80 degrees at wattages between 17W and 35W.
Battery performance reaches 9 hours for indie games, with stress tests showing over two hours at 25W. Despite the higher price, the X20 offers significant thermal efficiency and display upgrades while maintaining a maximum power draw of 49 watts during use.
