During a Cyberpunk 2077 test, Redditor Firm-Age4730 ran an RTX 5090 at 185W and an Intel Core Ultra 386H at 31W. The GPU hit 84°C, near its 87°C throttle limit, while the CPU reached 95°C, just below its 100°C maximum, with fans hitting up to 6,800 RPM.
This modification demonstrates the raw performance potential of the RTX 5090 when power constraints are lifted, though it pushes the Zephyrus G16 chassis to its thermal limits. The experiment highlights the narrow overhead remaining for high-end mobile chips.
