ASUS is rolling out new BIOS updates for its AM5 motherboards, specifically targeting CXMT-based DDR5 memory modules. These updates, based on the AMD AGESA ComboAM5 PI 1.3.0.1d firmware, include specialized low-latency tuning and improved memory timings.
Beta BIOS versions are now available for a wide range of 600 and 800 series motherboards, including X870, B850, X670, and B650 models. This follows July updates that introduced initial performance and stability enhancements for systems using CXMT chips.
The optimization is significant as CXMT DDR5 memory recently reached 9000 MT/s on the AMD X870E platform. With ASUS and MSI demonstrating speeds beyond 8000 MT/s, these beta builds, available on the ASUS website, push the boundaries of AM5 memory performance.
