Gigabyte Prepares New Intel LGA1700 Motherboards

Gigabyte is developing B760 and H610 motherboards to support Intel's upcoming LGA1700 processors featuring DDR4 and DDR5 memory support.

Gigabyte is currently preparing new B760 and H610 motherboards to support an upcoming line of Intel LGA1700 processors expected to launch in early 2027. These new boards will require a BIOS update to maintain compatibility with the future hardware release.

The upcoming processors feature a versatile memory controller supporting both DDR4 and DDR5. This follows Intel VP Robert Hallock's confirmation that Raptor Lake chips will remain in the portfolio for years, extending the life of the 12th, 13th, and 14th Gen.

This platform longevity offers significant cost flexibility for builders. While a 32GB DDR5-6000 kit costs approximately $480, a comparable DDR4-3600 kit is priced at $210, allowing users to choose between cutting-edge speed or more affordable memory options.
