007 First Light Gets Free Pathtracing Update

IO Interactive releases a pathtracing update for 007 First Light, requiring high-end Nvidia RTX 50-series GPUs for top performance.

IO Interactive has released a free pathtracing update for 007 First Light, accompanied by Nvidia's Geforce driver 616.92 WHQL. The update introduces three tiers of path-traced visuals, requiring at least a Geforce RTX 5070 with 12 GiB of VRAM for 1080p.

Entry-level pathtracing targets 60 Fps at 1080p, while WQHD requires an RTX 5080 with 16 GiB. The Ultra 4K setting demands an RTX 5090, which costs 5,299 Euro, and 32 GiB of VRAM. Ray Reconstruction activates automatically when pathtracing is enabled in-game.

While classic graphics support AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX, IO Interactive lists only Geforce GPUs for pathtracing. The highest performance tier utilizes DLSS 4.5 with dynamic Multi Frame Generation to reach 200+ Fps, requiring 32 GiB of system RAM and an SSD.
