Anbernic has officially revealed the RG DDS, a flagship dual-screen gaming handheld for 2026. Inspired by the Nintendo 3DS, the device features an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon G2 Gen 2 chipset, an active cooling solution, and a large 6,000 mAh battery.
The handheld boasts two customized 720p IPS displays with 300 PPI and 500 nits of brightness. The top screen measures 4.7 inches while the bottom is 4 inches. It includes dual joysticks, front-firing stereo speakers, and a built-in stylus for navigation.
Capable of playing 3DS games at a 3x integer scale, the RG DDS follows the RG DS Plus, which retailed for $124.99. While available in black, blue, and white, Anbernic has not yet announced the official pricing or a release date for the new console.
