ASRock is preparing seven Z990 motherboard models for Intel's upcoming Nova Lake S processors. A shipping manifest reveals hardware moving from Taiwan and Vietnam, including flagship Taichi, Steel Legend, Challenger, and Pro series boards in various colors.

Intel's Nova Lake S lineup is scheduled for a late 2026 or early 2027 launch on the LGA 1954 platform. The 900 series chipsets include the flagship Z990 alongside Z970, W980, Q970, and B960 options, with the top-tier Nova Lake CPU featuring up to 52 cores.

The Z990 chipset offers expanded Gen 5.0 I/O capabilities compared to the current Z890, though it carries a 14W power consumption rating. This hardware represents the next generation of high-performance computing for enthusiasts and professional builders.
